Meet Nick

Meet the owner of Moynihan Construction, Nick Moynihan. Nick is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, where he gained a strong work ethic and learned the skill and craftsmanship of the Carpentry trade. Nick completed his apprenticeship with a family-owned company, comprised of highly trained professionals; a company with over 100 years of combined experience in everything from frame to finish. Nick became a Journeyman Carpenter for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America in 2013 and has been primarily focused on custom-residential builds ever since. 

He moved to San Diego with his wife and high-school sweetheart in 2017 – where he worked for various outfits learning the ins and outs of building on the west coast. In 2020 Nick recognized his passion for working directly with clients to build their dream home, patio, addition, or re-model, and opened Moynihan Construction. 

For the past four years Moynihan Construction has developed relationships with dozens of reputable contractors, allowing Nick to stay focused on providing excellent custom carpentry, and streamlining the building process from start to finish. Nick is an uncle to 15 nieces and nephews and a loving dog father to one 13-year-old mutt. Nick has a strong love of music, enjoys cooking for friends and family and driving anything that goes fast! Nick takes pride in his work, being accountable to his word, and looks forward building your dream or vision and bringing it to reality!
